Trailer: 1999 Burro
Posts: 53
I just picked up a bone stock 99 Burro 17. It has seen very little use. The stove has never even been lit. It came with the shower and insulation package. A few small cracks in the gelcoat, but they are minor and I will start on them next week. No mod have yet been done. I have a few that I will be doing a few things and then using it for awhile to get a feel for what I want. Gina, your posts have been invaluable, I have been pouring over all of the pics you posted, Thanks!

The previous owner gave me all of the original paperwork, and it indicates that a vent was added for future a/c. The burro currently has 2. A small vent in the shower and a 14 inch toward the front of the camper. I assume that the 14 is the vent to be used for a/c?

Taking it to the mountains of NC for a shakedown this weekend. Will post back and let you know how it went.

Gina stayed at "Frederick's Campground" in my backyard once, and I took a picture of her Burro 17 while it was there.

She had the same 2 vents you speak of in addition to the air conditioner's 14" vent centered in the roof toward the rear of the trailer.

what a nice looking rig! Looks brand new!

You are going to have a blast with it!

All the Burro ACs I have seen are installed in the rear, as it was on mine. The vent up front had a fantastic fan on mine.

Also, if you are considering adding an awning, I would jump on these curved legs asap.

They are near impossible to find. The tube and springs are standard, can be had at any RV supply.
