My New Egg - 1975 Biod Extase

Hi,
I was the lucky one who has taken over stewardship of a 1975 Biod Extase, originally from Holland but shipped to Canada a year and a half ago. The woman who brought it over has had health issues and never got a chance to use it. She posted it recently on this site and I was in proximity and moved heaven and earth to make it a reality. It was a true barn find, housed in an old horse stable near Edmonton, Alberta.

I'd seen them on sites before but never in real life. My question is this: anyone own one or know someone with one? I have been told it's the only one in North America and I am doing due diligence before I can say that.

I'm in the process of converting the 220V system to 110 and putting in a 12V system. We're redoing the upholstery, but other than that, leaving it as original as possible. Look for it coming to an egg rally near you!

Now that's one cool looking egg Don. First thing that popped in my head was The Jetsons.

So glad you got it, Don. We do know someone who used to have one, but he lives in The Netherlands, so you may well be the only BIOD owner in North America.
