[quote]OK, I know we haven't had a mystery picture around here for a few years. Can you guess what this is?

No prizes, but the winner may post their "mystery" picture.

Hint: They can appear in the spring anywhere but most likely in Northern Climates.

Or, just maybe it's the footprint of an alien's first step upon our planet..."One small step for the alien, one giant leap for alien-kind"!

Does this finally prove we are not alone?

Ramps.
I can't actually make them out in the picture, but that is my best guess.

Tom U and Donna D come the closest so far....man, I can see that this little exercise really separates the pro fg rver's from the amateurs..

Apparently another hint is required so here goes...

Hint # 2: In the Northwest but also <edit> in other areas of the globe this mysterious creature can be tracked by these.

Oh I know! It's the only pothole in an entire dispersed campsite and somehow you parked one tire of the trailer IN IT, only to find you've left your BAL leveler (chunks of wood, lego blocks) at home, so you spend the entire weekend with your feet higher than your head while sleeping. (Don't ask me how I know!)

In many areas of public service work humans can also be considered mysterious, but not in this exercise.

Last guess for me. The imprint left by a stabilizer of on a (Bigfoot) trailer from the first camping outing for the season by a (alien) owner who lives in a northern climate. The stabilizer is next to the garbage can which is covered in slugs.

We really need a bigger photo. I was only guessing based on that fact that I could see green, it was outdoors, and you said it was common in spring in northern climes. Can't really see any detail though.

Still looks like grass to me. Will a bigger photo change that?

Okay - rotate the picture and you can see the tread marks. It is the depression made by a trailer tire from a trailer parked for the winter (or a long while).
