There are groups, such as the Amish, who do not believe in the use of motor vehicles. I wonder if any of them have developed a modern-day interpretation of the horse-drawn travel trailer? Perhaps it could even be molded fiberglass, but I'm guessing it wouldn't have a satellite dish...

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

There is a very large Mennonite farming community in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico and they are well known for the cheese they make --- the picture is of one of their cheese stores in Nueva Casas Grandes.

Like the Amish, many of the Mennonite farm homes do not have electricity, (and it is available there), but many have very tall shortwave antennas.

P.S. They sell some of the fanciest wood burning stoves in that area that I have ever seen.
