I second that emotion. I own and love my LIL Snoozy. Our little trailers shouldn't taken to seriously 😁

I like your connection.
Nest \n(e)-st\ as a girl's name is of Welsh origin. It is a variant of Nesta (Welsh): variant of Agnes.
Nessie \n(es)-sie\ as a girl's name. Diminutive of Agnes (Greek) "lamb". Also the name of the Loch Ness monster.

Another possibility is Prima (for the first), then the second could be Deuce.

NEVER use "Deuce", that implies a DUI driver as the CA Vehicle code for DUI is VC; 23102, hence the title "A Deuce".
I wrote a bunch of em', took more than a few to the Crossbar Hotel for a free nights stay.

Bob, That's interesting. I'd only heard of deuce as it applied to "Little Deuce Coupe".
I learn all kinds of tidbits from this site!!

Actually "LiL Deuce Coup" refers to 1932 Ford coup that has been made into a hot rod car, deuce referring to 32.

That's Deuce "Coupe" i.e a 1932 Ford coupe.
Coupe (koop) is a car with a fixed roof and two doors. "Coop" (koop) is what chickens live in and "Coup" (koo) is a sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government.

I have not heard of that either, suspect one needs to be from CA & had some DUI experience to know that reference.

In these parts you hear Deuce used a lot but mostly in reference to a two dollar bill or coin and in card games in reference to a 2.

Yep, I had lots of experience with the term, sometimes 2-3 on a really bad Saturday night.
It's a common term in Law Enforcement, mostly due, I suppose to it being introduced nationwide on any number of CHP & Adam-12 type shows in the past. An officer in MO might use the term and not even know it's origin.

Again, between that meaning and references to the Worlds #1 Hot Rod, not a good name for a trailer.

BTW: There is a story that, when asked, one of the original Beach Boys didn't really know what a "Little Deuce Coupe" even looked like. LOL.

Fortunately they didn't go any further and ask what the "Little Old Lady from Pasadena" might have looked like. Good thing they didn't do a song about the Mercury "Cougar"...... LOLOLOL

I too had never heard Bob's reference to a deuce, and would not be in the least hesitant to use it. After all, it is just a name, and in the end, it is the product, and not the name that people associate with.

It's kinda like when Chevrolet introduced the NOVA in Mexico, where NOVA means "Explodes", one really needs to know all the implications of a name before using it.

Would someone in the US have bought the then state-of-the-art, and now considered classic, Datsun 240Z sports car if it was being sold with the original name "FairLady", that was used in Japan. And just before WW-II there was the Studebaker "Dictator" The list goes on.....

Names in CA

Considering that California, where the term "Deuce" has a negative connotation, remains the worlds largest single market for RV's, even lesser known meanings should be avoided.

In the Army a "Deuce" is short for "Deuce and a Half" which is the nick name for a two and a half ton truck. It's a very heavy duty truck, nothing like a Nest Caravan. The name should be given a lot of thought. For instance most G.I.'s cringe at the thought of driving something called "KIA". KIA is not a good thing.

Yep, that's another Deuce. How about the negative Brit term "What the Deuce is that?" aka what the he!! is that.....

And one more.... The 1932 Ford "Deuce" was a one year wonder. Back in the day the Model "A" that preceded it, and the 33-34's that followed it were never as popular as the 1932's. It was, I believe, the first mass produced car that used a body shell for only a single year, something not seen again until the 1958 Chevrolet.

Lora

The name agnes is from the Greek Hagnes which means pure or holy
The lamb is Latin and is Agnus not agnes as in Agnis Dei - lamb of God.

Now enough of names and back to hearing of the Nest build

And now, back to the build...

Here's a look at our nosecone storage box. (Think we'll start calling it the "beak.") Inside we'll keep the double propane tanks, and room for tools and other goodies. The spare tire winch is built into the back, and pulls the spare up tight between the towing rails and into a recessed area within the lower shell.
