In the rear, we feature a receiver hitch with a removable bumper. Pull the bumper out and replace with your bike carrier...

Also mounted to the undercarriage is a BAL stabilizer.

Those small tanks are $$$$$ I bought one for the tent trailer I rebuilt for my son. $85. Ouch for a tiny tank.

Is there room for a 30a shore power cord and a 25' water hose. Maybe they could be wound around the propane tanks?

Curious about tank size too. Does two nest's on the way mean you are open for orders? Wow the Beak turned out so nice. Great work. Where are they built at Composite our your own shop? I wondered if folks will be able to stop by and take a peek at the build process, and try and stay out of your way at the same time

We are going with the two 11# "squatties" for the prototype, but are also considering a 20# horizontal. Need to see what makes most sense for us and our design. These tanks are more money, but provide us with more flexibility. Plenty of additional room in the "beak" for cables and hoses.

Careful, this is a mobile and curious bunch on this forum! They just may take you up on your offer. I considered an 11 pounder when I was designing and fabbing the tongue shroud for my Scamp but in the end just made it high enough to clear a standard 20 (had to go almost that high for the batteries anyway). Personally, I would rather have the light, handy 11 pounders over the horizontal 20, but would prefer a standard 20 (or even 30) over either.

I doubt it will fit, but I like forklift tanks with a quick fill port. They can be filled while attached to the trailer, and you pay by the liter, (gallon). The tank however is even more expensive then two "squatties".

Thanks for the pictures. Really enjoy watching the Nest come together....and careful with your offer to let us all drop by the shop -- cuz we'll all come out there! How big is your yard? Quick question: what is the clearance under the spare tire? Any concern that it will scrape the ground when making bumpy or steep road transitions -- out of driveways or dirt roads, campgrounds, etc? Thanks.

Hello Shannon, the Nest features a tall wheel and tire set-up, so there is lots of overall ground clearance... And approximately 14" under the spare. Scraping the spare even under the most extreme conditions is not likely.

just wondering....would "Phoenix Nest" work for a name? Then you could use other mythological birds for all the models you will create in the future...just a thought.
