Trailer: 2008 17 ft Escape B

Well, we did it.

We bought a 2008 17' Plan B Escape trailer this weekend. It was a used one that Reace had on his lot.. Has quite the number of "options"

Had been on the list for a 15' trailer, but decided to get the bigger one with the bathroom and shower...

So Reace is going to do a couple of things with it and we have to get a new hitch on our Escape vehicle as it has the factory installed class 2. We will be getting an equalizer hitch so need a class 3.

Also the snow is too darn high where we need to park the trailer.

Still not coming to Bandon this year as we have made other holiday plans with other people and not taking the trailer.

But I am planning on where things need to go and what to pack etc etc.. Looking forward to our first trip. Will be a change from our little 13' Boler!!!!

Congratulations on the new trailer! When you get a chance to use it, how about starting a thread of your impressions of the pro's & con's of moving into a larger trailer? I'd be interested in finding out just what is involved.

Hi: Doug&Anna Marie P... Funny thing I read a story just like yours, just the other day!!! LoL. We made the LEAP from 13' Boler to 5.0 Escape and from personal experience "Your gonna need more STUFF". Its funny how the extra space will fill up fast. It will be interesting to find out from you how different you find the towing!!!
