New Jockey Wheel

Posted Today, 05:53 PM
I'm one of those people who rely on the jockey wheel to maneuver the trailer for short distances at home and on the road. Today I replaced the hard plastic jockey wheel that comes with new Casitas. The old one was only 2 months old and used very little; however it was deteriorating rapidly. I bought a hard rubber wheel of the same size at Harbor Freight for $16. The wheel was part of a 4-bolt caster and was easily removed from the frame. The wheel axle area and bushing required a little nip and tuck and now fits perfectly. Casita needs to dump the hard plastic wheel and go to a hard rubber wheel. The replacement hard plastic wheel was only available as a complete unit at Camping World about $25.
