New Rooster
Got the local paper and there is a new rooster in town well the next town over! If you all come to Pinckney MI stop at the local feed store for a picture with the big rooster, he even has a Facebook page: Bock's General Rooster
I can't wait to get an egg and have a picture with him, local campgrounds all around there

New Rooster in Town ?
If you google Big Rooster in Maine, or some such, you'll find there are "Big Roosters " all across the US, as well as Big Dogs, Cats, Dinosaurs, fish, etc. They are what make travel interesting and they are always changing. I try to take a photo of my Scamp in front of these oddities, and I'm always on the lookout for the next Indian, Gorilla, Spaceman or roadside attraction. Let's hope they never go away ! Frank and 4x4 Lady, Yes , in California, the Land of Fruits and Nuts (!), " The Land of Milk and Honey" ( John Steinbeck), everything is bigger and better, the Roosters lay bigger eggs than the hens. After all, Hollywood is the capital of California !
And Jon V., I love your links to Roadside America and travel and web pages. David in Fresno and Sonora

OMG, well without that rooster, there would be no egg, but again that is the old fashion way things were BTW, the egg will be "this chicks egg"!

Chickens don't need a rooster to lay eggs.
They need a rooster to fertilize the eggs if you expect chicks.
So indeed, the egg came first.

Chickens don't even need a head!
In 1945 Mike the Headless Chicken lived for 18 months without one, became a national sensation and even has his own festival in Fruita Colorado.
History
RIP Mike.

OK I was set straight....so if this chick takes her egg to the rooster I'll have another chick and therefore get grandeggs......now the headless chicken info, so didn't need that while eating lunch today, chicken quesadillas .....yummy! I better get my first egg before I start worrying about hatching chicks lol
