Just picked up a 1981 13 Scamp in Phoenix today and we hope to get in on the Desert Egg event in Cottonwood, AZ in April. Seems in pretty good overall condition and will mostly need cleaning and the elephant hide painted.
Can't wait for a shakedown in the next couple of weeks.
Nice-looking Scamp. Going to use the VW bug to tow it? We have a '69 Beetle and a '68 VW pickup. We hope to get the pickup ready to pull our Burro for VW shows.

If the ensolite(elephant hide) doesn't need painting a good scrub with fantastic spray and rinse with warm water works great...Brush it it till it foams and rinse...a bit fumey but so's paint. Thanks all, for the welcome and the tips on cleaning the "hide." I'll try the Fantastic and then see if it needs painting from there. It will need new seam tape as well as many $$ more I'm sure and I have downloaded the Scamp parts list, so sure will be getting to know them.
