New special edition Bigfoot 17.5 FB

I believe that’ window is on all the 17.5FB’s, not just this special edition. It’s a nice layout. Not seeing fridge vents. Compressor fridge, maybe? Lithium? I’d love to see the specs, but nothing on the website.

It's 17.5' overall, probably about 13-14' cabin length, and a full 8' wide. It's a true 4-season design with protected tanks, thermal windows, and 1" of rigid insulation. Pretty heavy for its size, and the off-road enhancements only add to that (and increase aerodynamic drag due to the added height). Nice boondocking rig.

Some more pics and a bit more info. From what was posted in the FB group this color will only be available on the 17.5 FB for now. In response my questions about suspension mods this was his answer:

"This trailer has a 6 inch lift with Goodyear Duratrac E rated tires.
All the 17FB’s now have a 5200 lbs Dexter axle which I down rate to 5000 lbs. As there is plenty room left for cargo."

if my memory is correct this isn't the first time that Bigfoot has come out with a special edition 17 with some mods to make it more boondock friendly. But that was many years ago and only about 3 or 4 of them were made. I don't remember what they called that one but I'm sure someone here has a better memory than I do.

No idea on cost or real world availability but this might be the ultimate boondocking trailer for one or two people. Only downside I can think of is that with 6 inches of lift and not being a lightweight to begin with this will require at least a full size pickup or the equivalent as a TV.

There was a trim level, about 2008, by this name. Apparently across all sizes of BFs. It was produced in very limited numbers, less than 5 of the 21 footers. Different graphics, interiors, added brush guards.

Thanks for the link. It answered my questions about the fridge and electrical. DC fridge and 2@G31 batteries with conventional LP cooking, heating, and hot water.

I gained 4" of lift by installing a 5200 lb. straight axle instead of the 4400 lb. drop axle that came as standard. This should have been done at the factory as this is a 5000 lb. trailer fully watered and loaded for travel. The large rear window is on all 17.5s. This is better-looking than the gussied-up swoopy graphics on the standard 17.5.

Not sure if you mean "Wow!" as in a great price or "Wow!" as in a high price...

The way I see it, it's cheaper than a comparable Airstream 19CB or Oliver Elite and in a number of ways better than both.
