Hello and Blessed Holidays to all...
I just found your sight as I was looking for information on my 1970 AALITE 25ft class a ... I spent the past month or so working hard on getting the engin in shape and we have her on her 1st road trip.... from Indiana to FLA ... I love this camper and all has gone grat except for a fairly minor short in the Alt gauge which caused us to spend the night disabled in a west arkansas parking lot.... this would have been no problem except that durring the night a trucker hit the back drivers corner of the unit .... no cracks just a "skinned knee" type scrape .... but this vintage beauty was in almost perfect condition ..... Looking forward to any advice on the new repair I will need along with how to fix one older repair that was not done smoothly - no leaks .. it just looks like someone glooped "frosting" over the damage...

well greetings from rainy wet Orlando
thanks in advance for any advice

Welcome Andre. Sounds like an interestng camper you have. Was the link supposed to link to pictures? I can't get it to work but it could just be my computer. I would like to see picturs of it!

As for the fiberglass repairs I'm sure someone can advise you, I'm not very good at it!

Welcome to the site. I am sure you will find loads of information on most your questions about your camper.
I am always kidding my wife, when she is driving (White knuckled) and hauling our little Ladybug, 13 ft Boler when we see one of these large campers go by.
I search for ideas on this site daily and it amazes me on how smart some of these people are and even when I get the answer to a question I ask I need to have them explain in laymen terms the answer again
Ever in Maine. let us know

Welcome to FiberglassRV Andre! There are better experts than I on the forums regarding fiberglass repair. The forums are pretty quiet because of the holiday's but someone will probably pop in an answer your questions fairly soon.

However, (sounds better than BUT), this is a forum for trailers, not motorhomes. While we have members that have owned motorhomes, you may have more luck getting answers to "motorhome" problems on a forum like RV Net. Certainly not trying to chase you away, we're a friendly group...just trying to get you to a place that may be better to answer your questions than us....

However (there's that BUT again), you're welcome to hang out and we'll help where we can

Andre, is your motor home molded fiberglass? If it is, check with local Boat and Marine dealers in your area. They should be able to steer you in the right direction as far as repairs.
