Newest addition to the family!

Hello people-
Just tried to post a pic on the new purchase. Hope this works! I bought this on Friday and drove it up home Saturday morning. 1987 16'. I will get some indoor shots as soon as I can pry my wife away from decorating it!

Hey, Dave, is that a Liberty? (Gotta be!) Congrats on finding it! I look forward to your interior pics, when you get a chance.

I used to have a 1989 Liberty. Loved it! Especially after I figured out NOT to leave the coffee filters in one of the bins under the bed.

(In other words, plan for what you'll need in the early a.m.)

When and where's your shake down cruise gonna be?

:dance :banana :dance

Thanks Ches- yes, I have found that over time, this is the way to go. Just let her do the decorating and all is well here!

Mary- LOL I have NO clue as to what it is. It didn't come with any manuals or anything. It has the double bed in the back and the long single on the drivers side.

I also want to get new tires and am unsure of what size to get. It has a 19575R14 on one side and a 1957014 on the other. It just seems like the tires are too small for the trailer, does it look that way to you? Any ideas on size? I read the other thread on passenger tires as opposed to trailer tires and think I will go with the latter.

I need some help on what switches do what, etc. Maybe I should call Casita for an owners manual? Or, is there anyone here that can help on what does what in my 1987 16'?

Interior pics coming next message.

Mary- I have no clue where we will go first. Things are kind of hectic at home with family stuff, so we may take an overnighter to test the waters. Probably Montana De Oro, Lopez Lake, down the road at the Morro Bay State Park, somewhere like that.

Here are the inside snaps:

So, the bath is in the front? or does it have a bath.
why does Casita only put little windows above the side bench set?
How come your so lucky, Dave? that is one nice looker there.
air in the back?

(I feel 6 years old today, why? what? where?, and who? anything I've missed? they say this too will fade with time. :lol) great trailer, have I said that? :crazy-ii

Hi Jana :) - thank you! I lucked out on it. It was basically sold and the guy had a deposit, but the guy kept putting the owner off because it needed a new fridge. When the owner told the guy that he would have to increase his asking price due to the fact that he had to install a NEW fridge (Camping World $650) and wanted to at least share the cost, the buyer backed out (his wife didn't think it was a good deal).

So, I had pestered him to no end and he knew I wanted it and I was right there when he called and got the answer from the guy and I took out the cash and voila!

It has a shower/toilet in the front and it has A/C in the back.<img src=http://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/uploads/3eda201d4c4cdCasita11.jpg/>

Great find, Dave! How fun to have a new "baby" on which to dote. Let us know what your wife decides to do with the decorating.

Nancy

It's fascinating to see how the trailers change over the years. It seems like a Spirit layout with the 2 person side dinette.

It almost looks like someone framed in a square door just inside the outside door. That would make installing a screen door pretty easy. Hmmm, I wonder...

Yeah, Steve. Definitely not a Liberty. (I thought it must be a Liberty since the small window on the driver's side looked like that's where the galley would be. But, from the pic, the galley's on the ''Spirit side.'')

Oh well, no matter. Looks great, Dave. And I have a sneaking suspicion you are excited to have found her!!

Let us know when you decide where you're going! And how it all goes, too!

:banana
