Nice surprise - Referral check

Today's mail included a nice note and a referral check for $147.90 (US equivalent of $200 Canadian) from Escape.
Shortly after returning home from Florida, where we had bought our 5.0TA last February, we let Escape know that we were the new owners and willing to show it. Soon after, we got a call from a man who wanted to check out our Escape. He seemed to like it, but said his wife wanted no part of any RV and he didn't like the idea of having to wait months to get a new trailer. He was a nice guy and showing him the trailer was painless, but we never gave another thought to his visit.
Evidently, he recently took ownership of a shiny new 5.0TA and we got the check, a nice holiday surprise.
Happy Holidays to all of you,
David & Rosemary

Congrats what a nice surprise! I got a 200 cheque once as well and it was a whole 200, mind you if I wanted to buy a new escape would cost me more than if you were to with your valuable USD!

nice.....

but the thing that struck me was that your Escape is a 2014 model....the first owner sure didn't keep it long....What he do? Drive it from Chilliwack to FLA and put it up for sale????

He said they had decided to build a new house in Boca Raton and wouldn't have time to use the Escape. We paid them close to what they had paid for it. They had used it a bit, but had cared for it well. We were able to get it at once and not wait the 8-10 months new ones were taking for delivery. We were able to sell our Scamp 19 to a happy Florida couple in two days. Win, win for all.

Hi: Stretcher... Here's a snap shot of Bob& Sue's trailer. It's the one on the left, behind the black Ram diesel pickup.
We camped with them in Pine Grove Pa. in the fall of 2014.

Gee Alf,

Bob & Sue's trailer looks a lot like our 5.0TA.

Happy holidays,

David

David,
Did you also buy Bob's tow vehicle, a beautiful Ram diesel?

He didn't offer to sell it. We pull it with a Nissan Frontier as we had our Scamp 19.
