Novel Trailer Hitch Mod for 5th Wheel

Came across this novel trailer hitch mod on another forum, and thought it could be adapted for some of the fiberglass fivers:

I'm a little concerned. I don't see any safety chains hooked up.

Will my 5cyl vehicle tow this? Do I need a WDH hitch? BTW. I'm need to get 75MPG going over the Rockies at 75 mph...

But it only works for a Scamp 19, because like the Scamp it isn't a real fifth-wheel.

(This is a classic, which appeared in this forum several years ago.)

I can not believe how many people tow with vehicles that are WAY too under powered or not right for their campers. How can this guy steer with the front wheels barely on the ground?
