You have to admit, $10 for a lifetime pass is ridiculously low. If we want nice things, we should be willing to pay for them.

Even if they charged a hundred bucks for it, it wouldn't amount to diddly squat on your taxes.

Actually, at this point the price seems to be the same. A friend of mine got his at Hyde Park and it was $10.00. If you order online, they charge an extra $10.00 for shipping and handling. I can't remember where I got mine. Probably online.

This story was a hoax last year, I don't see anything on the NPS web sites that would make me believe that this is anything else.

2017 would be a good time to visit Canadian National Parks.
Free admission to celebrate 150 years, plus the US dollar is pretty strong,,,
right now anyway,,,

If they raise the fee from $10 to $80, it will still be a super bargain. But I might have cause to complain that the government only appreciates me 1/8 as much...

In the past 50 years, I've seen the price at one NF campground go from $5 a night, with a real breathing ranger collecting the money and on site to the same NF campground renting out the property to a private business, and the rent went up to $22 a night...Now with our Golden Age pass that went from $2.50 to $11 in 50 years...not bad. Let's see I was making $1.10 per hour, 50 years ago, and now I get (hope IRS don's see this) $25 per hour...I guess I'm a bit ahead of the game....

I got mine last August for $10. Must have doubled in price since then.

Still $10

I got mine last month, $10. However, I would have been ok with paying more if it really would go for maintenance of federal lands.

your doing it right and your eligable for your Golden Age Pass
We got one at the local NF Ranger station in the White Mt of NH and I another one at Arcadia National park so I imagine any National Park station will have one.
