nuCamp getting into fiberglass?

Just saw this on RV Business’ newsletter. Anybody have further intel? If it’s retro, does that necessarily mean molded?

“Beginning in late 2015, nuCamp RV expanded operations of manufacturing teardrop trailers to include a truck campers. This year the company also entered the full-sized travel trailer market and a retro fiberglass camper is also expected to be added to the product line in 2020.”

Another interesting one, also non-molded, is Intech Sol. https://www.intechrv.com/sol.php
It had some nice features, Euro-styling, a huge bathroom, and an aluminum frame.

I saw an optioned-up one at the Portland RV show, shown by Curtis Trailers, asking $30K.

All I could find was that they are starting production of the nuCamp AVIA in April. Here are a few pictures: nucamp-Avia-1 | Trailer Life.

Definitely looks like a bloated version of their T@B trailers, i.e. not molded FG. But I'm sure it will be nice. nuCamp has a reputation for quality from what I've read.

Thank you for looking into it. Also, bummer.

From the video it looks like a great trailer
If it’s well built and dependable , I don’t care if it’s molded or not
Molded fiberglass trailers are as trouble prone as any other trailer on the market

They do have their issues, and some of the molded fiberglass brands have way more issues than others.

Discounting of course the purchased items that go into them such as appliances, pump, furnaces, sinks, toilets, water and gas lines, ceiling fans, air conditioners, weak under carriage frames, axles, springs, leaky windows, aging rubber gaskets, aging electrical wiring, inferior hitches, rivets that don't grip. I know I have forgotten lots of things but those don't count right! It is just the shell that matters, the rest is just nuisance noise.
