does anyone make these to replace the originals?
I work for a small metal fabricator and was thinking about a possible production run... mostly cause I need 2 of them myself and all I can find are the $58.00 plastic ones. just wanted to get an idea of what the demand would be?

thanx

They sound like they would be great for light blocking... but...

wouldn't they get a bit warm up there?

I don' t think heat is an issue. these would replace the 2 I have there now. I also have the more common 14" clear one in mine but the old metal ones have a spring loaded pull chain thingy that hangs in your face.... I would look at a crank or slide bar? Guessing now that there's not much demand for them. just thought it would be nice to have a better mechanism that the chain or even a solar powered exhaust fan.

I took out the little 12" roof vent and replaced it with a 14" clear grey lexan one. It's nice to see the stars sometimes and We like the additional screen area in the roof on a hot day.
