Congratulations to all our Canadian friends, It is about 8 PM Monday and you are probably just getting up, you had a right to celebrate. Great games , you can be very proud, the closing ceremony was a great show, the only confusing part was the boy dressed as a hockey puck, Marje thought he was representing Canadian Tire another Canadian institution.

17 days of non stop sports. Fantastic! I got to watch about three different hockey games a day.
I think that now I'm going into withrawl.

OH! It's going to be OK after all. This weekend starts The "Northern Games", and they will be played in Grand prarie Alberta.
The native communities of Northern Canada put on their own style of sports. Some of these are fantastic and so is the dancing and music that goes with them.

17 days of magic. It was unbelievable. I am definitely going through withdrawal!

The boy dressed as a puck represented the puck on a large table hockey game. Doesn't everyone play table hockey?

Hey Alf, I'm glad you told me, being a Floridian we have our share of Canadians down her right now and one of them rides to the bowling alley 2x a week with us and the guys in the car talked about anything but hockey until he couldn't stand it any more, when there was a pause he jumped in about the Ca. gold and we all broke out laughing. When we got to the bowling alley another of our Canadian neighbors another northern neighbor reminded us of the gold and so it went, un Canadian eh??. I told them it was no big deal to us as most of the American players are Canadian as well. We had a good time with the subject. We all did agree that it was like watching a pro all star game and wished it would go back to when these games were played by amateur athletes rather than pros. All the team sports were spoiled by the Russians using pro's and it forced us all to. The Canadians put on a great, it was a 10 days and the Canuks are to be thanked, Thank You

Hi: All... My nephew is the Womens Olympic Hockey Team Physio. He and the team Dr. are the first ones on the ice when a player is down, and the last ones to leave the dressing room after a game. He is a specialist in sports injurys and this is his forth Gold...not to mention the Jr's World Cup events hes worked.
Thru his work for Hockey Canada he keeps the players pumped with his enthusiasum for sports!!!
