Byron I belive that was the Rose City Speedway which was actually just east of Delta park between "Union" and Marine Drive. Went there many times in my 20s, especially for the Demolition Derbys. Fun times!

Yes and No. There was a Rose City Speedway where indicate. It was paved track for most of it's life, a 1/2 mile track. It went to a dirt track some in the late 1990s or early 2000s. It didn't make it and closed.
The Jantzen Beach track was dirt 1/4 mile track.
I went to many races at both places.

How about what we used to call a "Boston Cooler" and a 25 cent burger at the local drugstore. They all had lunch counters with stools. Or you could just order a chocolate coke!
