One More Day

one more day and we are off to Bennett springs state park mo to hit the trouts. we will be almost boondcoking in our 13f scamper at 11.00 a night we upset them when we book a tent site.

nice bathrooms and showers furnished latest news is they are releasing 31/2 trouts per fisherman. it will be wall to wall trouting opening day.

Hard to imagine why they would release 1/2 a trout. Seems to me it would be hard for the back half to take your lure. Have fun!

Wifee just asked me what I wanted for my B-day gift this year and I told her "I wanted my fishing license for the states of New Hampshire and Maine this year. With the weather the way it has been fishing should be good by early to mid May.
I fish with the "Kama-Kazi style of fishing... that's where you sit with a worm on the hook and even a bobba (how we talk in Maine) on, now wait till a fish rises to take a fly off the water and cast right in the center of the rise. The fish thinks it is part of the fly he missed and WHAM... you got your self supper on a line.

well we are back home I must not be a trouter. 4 fish in 2 days I watched a couple of amazing pros they kept catching trouts and throwing them back in amazing!

they offered all sorts of help we were right beside them also. did I say they were amazing trouters every time we go there we run into pros. our first outing last year was not good either.

did I say cold 27d in the am then in the 50s about noon another amazing thing!

sooo in 2 weeks back we go we usually go early in the week so the weekenders can have camping spots.

any of you come to mo. don't miss Bennett springs you can camp and not fish if you like. just a peaceful restful place to relax!
