You could apply for a job driving one.

Applicants should have a BA or BS college degree, preferably in public relations, journalism, communications, advertising, or marketing, though applicants are not limited to these majors.

They interviewed two drivers for the Detroit Free Press. When asked if they slept in their vehicle, they said with relish..."No. It's not a 'Weinerbago'."

When I was a kid Lil' Oscar came with the original Weinermobile to Sheffield and Belmont Aves in Chicago! I got a whistle how cool.
Thanks for the memories.

You have to have a BA or BS to drive a wienermobile?

What is this world coming to?

That stated history is not correct, at least in part.

In the 70's and early to mid 80's I owned an auto / truck repair shop in Madison Wisconsin and I personally did the repairs and maintenance on one of the wienermobile's, it was built on a 1958 Dodge truck chassis, not a Chevy motor home as mentioned.

This particular dog may have been the original Brooks Stevens creation, and I have no clue how many were on the road at the time, but the one I maintained was a 1958 Dodge.
