Our Scamp Make Over is Done!

Our remodel of our 13ft. Scamp Deluxe is done. Hope the photo's will work.

For those that are new, We wanted one with the extra bunk, and when we found this deluxe model, we decided to buy it and give it a make over. I bought foam and made the cushions. We are very Happy with the results, and didn't lose any counter space as we can attach the extra counter when we don't need the bed.

So happy that husband is a "Jack of all Trades".

The first photo is the way it looked when we bought it. The Extra counter top stores under the middle cushion when not in use. We did it in 3 sections, so we also have storage under all the 3 cushions (plywood bottoms). The potti still fits under in the middle cabinet.

Very nice carpentry work. The upper door side cupboard must be held in by rivets. It may look larger than it is. Really want to see.

See, everybody was so "worried" when you first announced the remodel----and obviously, you guys knew what you were doing! It is great! Now it's multi-functional--my kind of remodel! KUDOS to your hubby!!!!!!!!!

That remodel does look nice. Guess I mis judged you guys when you said you wanted a bed there. Hubby did a good job in getting you a bed, and yes I hope to see it in June also.

Thanks everyone for all the replies. We are very happy with how it turned out. I was out today cleaning and stocking the cabinets with a few things.

About the "Rat Fur" The entire inside is done in rat fur. I was suprised how nice and clean it is. They must not have cooked inside at all. We were on our way to Scamp to buy a new one, but stopped along the way to check out this used one. I was sold on this one right away and knew we could make it to fit our needs. The price was right and the condition is very good. The guy cleaned the outside, took it in and had the wheels packed, ( we had to go back and pick it up) it has a nice awning, air-conditioner, potti, screen door, New battery. It was pretty hard to pass this up verses paying the price for a new one.

All in All, I'm A Very Happy Camper
