Parkliner winterized

Well, we got a few minutes over the weekend to winterize our Parkliner. It will rest for the winter under the 12 X 21 9' high carport we bought for it, and as soon as Thanksgiving is over will get covered by our custom Calmark cover. I expect we will have one of our kids and his fiance occupying it over the Thanksgiving holiday.

This has not been a great year for camping. I sure hope next year (and those to come) is better!

Frank

Wow, you held out longer then me lol....I winterized mine a few weeks back when the temps dropped to freezing one night.

I am also hoping for a great season next year!

Well, Deryk, we had the same freeze, but time and problems this year have not been friendly to me. As it turned out, that slight freeze did not cause any problems. I never even used my hot water tank this year! Once I get done with my work in the master bath, next is finishing the wiring on the shed that sits right next to the egg. There is a convenient 20 amp plug there that just needs to get wired in line from the power entry. All the line is run, and that was the difficult part!

The egg will be occupied over the Thanksgiving holiday as sleeping quarters with heat.

Nice! I was just paranoid after my water tank cracking last winter. Better to err on the side for safety!

Hey Frank, how are you feeling? You are ahead of me, today is my day to put in antifreeze. All the water is empty, I cleaned her all up but just want to check everything one more time before I put in the antifreeze. I am keeping her plugged in all winter just in case we lose power for an extended period of time I can stay warm and make coffee.

Hi Pat, thanks for asking. Feeling okay, but that is thanks to carbamazine. I see my neurologist next month and want to see how I get off this drug. I do not like it.

We did not even use 1-1/2 gallons to do everything that needed to be done. If I get a chance, I want to clean and wax it before Thanksgiving, but we'll see how that goes!

We will also keep ours plugged in, or easy to plug in for the winter. One of the things I love about our Calmark cover is there is a zippered door in it for access. Ya just never know!

Come to think of it, the batteries do need still to come out and put on trickle charge for the winter. It's always something!

Best of luck to you!

Frank

Thanks Frank, good luck, I hope your neurologist has good news for you. I also have a Calmark cover (thanks for getting yours so they could copy it for mine)

Thanks Pat, I hope so too!

Calmark covers are the best! Glad you like yours.
