OK here we go with camping in 2007.

January 1; We arrived a couple days earlier and spent New Years eve at Bar View, Tillamook County Park on Tillamook Bay, Oregon. Visited an Air Museum.

January 12-13; In the cold and ice we camped at Logan Road RV park in Lincoln City, Oregon. We showing carving at a carving show in the Casino.

January 27-28; River Bend Linn County Park, near Sweet Home, Oregon

March 3-4; We planned on another park, but it was closed. So back to River Bend we went.

March 18-19; Camp Sherman Campground, near Camp Sherman, Oregon. Arrived late in the evening. Next morning we discovered we were camped next to a guy I worked with several years ago. Great to renew old friendships.

April 7-8; A little one site BLM campground on the Deschutes River. Very quiet.

April 27-28; Northern Oregon Gathering at Waterloo Linn County Campground, near Waterloo, Oregon. Great fun.

May 18-19; Trout Creek Campground NFS. Quiet campground on the South Santiam River, above Sweet Home, OR.

May 25-26; Cold Springs Campground NFS, West of Sisters Oregon. There we got to meet the owner of Hoodoo Ski resort. Nice guy.

June 16-17; Back to Trout Creek Campground NFS. Spent the days at Long Bow organizational camp with several geocachers.

June 22-23; Star Party at Pine Mountain Observatory East of Bend Oregon. Event with geocachers and star gazers.

July 18-22; Bullards Beach, Oregon Gathering near Bandon, Oregon.

July 22; Someplace on the Washington coast. Got in late left early.

July 23-24; Kenanna Washington State Campground, near Squim, Washington. Time for laundry and food shopping. Then a one day visit to Olympic National Park (Love that Golden Age Passport).

July 25-29; Friday Creek Thousand Trails campground. 3+ days of carving and carving seminars.

August 17-18; Dispersed camp stop on Park Creek at the edge of Park Meadow. We planned on a nice quiet week-end, but there was a group with 8-13 year olds (3). Ended up giving some wildflower identification instruction.

August 31-September 2; Raab Campground NFS. We camped with one of the daughters, her husband, and son. Nice family week-end. We also met a full timer in a Scamp 5er.

September 7-8; Wyeth Campground NFS, Columbia River Gorge. Quite place with a couple nice trials to hike, which we did.

September 21; Marion Forks Campground NFS, This place is right at the Marion Forks Fish Hatchery. The intention was to hike to the top of Crescent Mountain where a geocache sits. This geocache is named in my honor so I felt I should go find it. Things didn’t work as planned, therefore we have to go back another day.

October 12-12; North Oregon Gathering at Champoeg State Park. It’s about 12 miles from my house. We decided at the minuet to take the trailer over, glad we did.

October 26-27; Elk Creek Campground Tillamook State Forest. Last week-end before the gate was closed. Son-in-law, and 3 grandchildren joined for this trip. We had a nice hike and a fun camping trip.

Then it was time to start making the daughters and grandkids Christmas presents.

That is it for this year! Maybe better luck next yr, but just might sell the camper if I can't go camping more than this.

We still do not travel too far from home but with the purchase of a new-er tow vehicle we did get more then 30 miles away this season.
We always try to get out at least once a month to the Basin Pond Campground in N. Chatham NH
Went to Goose Hollow, Watervile Valley NH, over 4th of July week for thier celebrations.
Spent 10 days going into the mountains of Maine and NH....
South Arm campground....Rangley State Park (The abaolute Best of the Beat places) then finished off the trip at Lake Umbagog in NH....a bad place to end a great week.
Also went to the Beaches campground on clean up weekend in Bethel but do not think I would go back.
This year we plan to take the coastal route in Maine.

Whoa! Gina gave my driveway a 10 and she had to work for her dinner by helping me (or me helping her!) fix the plumbing under my kitchen sink when I had a waterfall!

Cool

In no particular order...
Quartz Creek CG (on Kenai Lake)
Ptarmigan Creek CG, spot #14
Ditto, spot #7
Ditto, spot #5 (yup, we really like this CG)
Capt. Cook State Park
(All of these were on the Kenai Peninsula)
No big trips like last year (new job) - sigh

But my daughter and a friend were sleeping in the Trill one night right here at home amongst the trees, when a moose walked by and shook the trailer a little bit. They thought it was an earthquake.
