Since I grew up in Hawaii, sorry we all grew up somewhere, I wanted something from Hawaii. So we call our Scamp 19 HONU, which is the Hawaiian sea turtle. We are slow to move and we carry our shell on our back.

We are having a lot of fun just cruising around

I call my little 13' Scamp the "Rhinestone Bunkhouse". I have been decking her out in a vintage cowgirl theme for glamping with my "Sisters on the Fly".

Since our tug is a Taco, it seemed reasonable to call our ParkLiner El Huevo Gordo. Or just Gordo for short!

Our Hunter 1's name is "Tidbit", from one of our favorite phrases is "it's a tasty little tidbit".

I've called mine a few names recently. I still need to come up with one that can be repeated in public.

We just name ours "cuckoo's nest" for short we just call it "the cuckoo".
The trailer is the nest and the occupants are the cuckoo.

Our Lil Snoozy has a license tag that says,"OHSOCOZY." That is more of a description than a name. With the LS decals on every side of the camper, it is already named in one sense. But if I were to give it another name, lets say a nickname, it would be ALMOND JOY, or THE BROWN EGG.

That sounds "kool" Susie.

Brown Egg made me smile as we used to have our own range chickens just for the brown shell dark orange yoke eggs. Chickens turn all kinds of bugs into deep colored yokes. Hm-hm.

Well, our grandchildren named our 17' Boler for us.

Spending the weekend at a provincial park camping with us, the 5-year-old summoned us to dinner by hanging in the door calling, "ALL A-B-O-A-R-D!"

Which prompted the 8-year-old to echo him with "All aboard the Boler Express!"

And it has been the Boler Express since -- though it certainly never achieves express speeds!

We have a ketch sailboat called escapade, so our trailer is the "eggscapade".

I named my "Millie" after my grandmother (her nickname)...the sweetest, best sense of humor, kindest person I have ever known...she raised me...she was one of a group of friends from NW PA who formed a "Nature Club" in their teens, hiking and picnicking in Cooks Forest. The "Nature Club Girls" kept the club going into their 80's...iin later years having meetings in their homes reminiscing of past hikes into the woods. She loved nature and boating on lakes. I thought it was a good name and a good way to honor her with new adventures.

I think I already shared this, but just in case...

Our Scamp 5er is The White House. Depending on the direction it is facing, sometimes we sleep in the West Wing... sometimes in the East Wing. But the Oval Office is always the Oval Office!!

I picked up my baby Boler a month ago.
Not realizing everyone named theirs, I was wondering how I was going to come up with a name.
Even when I named my children, it took me almost the entire pregnancy to come up with their names. Drawing a blank and not even one name on the table, my Mother assured me not to worry about it, will just come to me. So the other day, I was cruising Pinterest, not even thinking about it, when the name Lola just popped into my head. I have no clue how I arrived at that name, as I had mentioned I didn't even have any other considerations.
Lola?
Really Lola??
Hmmm...yup that will work...she's a Lola.
I can't express how happy this lil adorable cutie pie makes me. I love decorating her, shopping for glamping equipment, outfits, games and recipes books for my Lola, researching and planning for our next trips.
Yup I am one happy glamper

While I think it is great that many like to personalize their trailers with a name for it, and there are many great creative names out there, I would bet the majority do not name their trailer.

I named mine "The Trailer", only to find out I was copied by thousands of other folks.

I also wonder how many picked a name, but never kept up with using it. I do know of one where this is the case.

Hmmmm....another poll maybe.

Well Jim we had no choice, the trailer came with it's name, that's what happens when you buy used

Good thing we like the name Our Escape Hatch and Alf had the "Hatch" part of the name painted burgundy which matches our truck nicely.
