I call mine My Rolling Den as I have a bear theme with bear curtains, rug, and lamp inside as well as bear decal outside.

Our VT is called "Howie" for "Hotel on Wheels." It is our rolling hotel. We have been places we never would have gone had we not bought the VT. Before, we would question if we could afford the cost of a vacation. Now we just ask which direction we are taking Howie next summer.

I would love to have a name in foreign language that means journey. But so far I have struck out finding it.
Journey in Italian = Viaggio

Boy, that would get people wondering if they read it too fast

When we bought our '72 Trail Mite the seller thought that it was a Burro. It wasn't until I discovered this site months later that I recognized it as being a Trail Mite. But by then we'd already been calling it "the Burro" and the name had sorta stuck by then.

Maybe we should change the spelling to "Burrow"?

Thank You Donna, Raya had tried to help me with a French journey meaning but it didn't seem to translate well. So gave that up and have been idea-stuck ever since. But this might work................

Can you tell me the translation for the word ( The)

( The Journey) is what I would like it to say.

I can't claim any expertise in Italian, but this page gives a sense of the different uses:

http://dictionary.reverso.net/italian-english/viaggio

Maybe some of our Lander crew will pipe in.

The = il, thus you would have il Viaggio

Just to be honest about this, I don't speak Italian. Shoot, I don't even speak English very well!

Any way, I used iGoogle for the translation: iGoogle Translator

Looks like French would be: le voyage

When we traveled in Mexico with our first egg, a 17' wide body Burro, it drew attention. Some friendly locals laughed when they saw the Burro decal and dubbed the egg "Burrito Americano". We loved it and it stuck. We now have a Bigfoot which we have named "Squatchi". Squatchi and Cassis (our tug) have taken us on many adventures.

Our 13 foot Uhaul is named "Fiddlesticks" due to the fact that the curtain material we found to brighten up the interior reminded us of Fiddlesticks. I know some among you are old enough to remember Fiddlesticks as a completely "wireless" game of the 40s and maybe 50s. Lee

ARGGGG--now I'm obsessing about getting my little camper named! My Element's name is " Max-E-Mas" and I had planned (in the very beginning) to call the camper "Min-I-Mas" . Get it--MaxE and MinI. But it's not working.

The inside theme is going to be coffee cup motif.

Java
Bean
Hazelnut
Scooter (my favorite coffee place is Scooters.)

Then, there's what it represents:

Nestegg (or Nestei in German)
Speilhaus (playhouse/dollhouse in German)
Winzig (tiny in German)

(German may be wrong--got it from internet!)

Just for Fun:

Peabody (from a series of books I'm reading--she's and adverturer like Indiana Jones)
Barbie Girl
Perris Hilton
Bubble Butt
Valley Girl (after Perris Valley Campers)

HMMMMMMMM

Vicky, that is funny! I also went crazy playing around with names, writing them down on a piece of paper. But once I wrote "Cafe Egg" down, the story was history. You are right on in most German words BTW, only one was a little off:

Play house is "Spielhaus".

Hi Gerda! I was hoping you'd check on my German! I'm seriously considering buying The Rosetta Stone (German) so I can talk to my daughter and her boyfriend!

Karen--Love the Red/White/Blue! God Bless America!!!

Go for it Vickie!

Thanks Donna and Raya for the translation help. I know what you mean about the English language, Donna. And the link for translation is great! Thanks!

Talking

When we tried to import our Burro from Oregon into Canada, some official at the Registrar of Imported Vehicles told is we could not bring it into the country because it was not a trailer. The VIN showed it to be a motorcycle. After some bureaucratic wrangling we convinced them otherwise and now we have our beloved egg, named, of course, Harley.
