Price on Casita going up in 2024?

Well, the cat is out of the bag now. The $32k+ base price for 2024 models is officially on Casita’s web site. The question is how long it will take Scamp and Escape to follow suite with their own big price jumps.

The one I used to have was also a 2019. Ordered in December 2018 picked up in May 2019. Could be sooner but waited for the new gray interior.

Does yours have the gray or the old wood grain interior?

Grey, We had to call & ask them to do it.
Correction we ordered ours on March 1, 2019.

Going to $32K

One can only imagine the materials cost increases due to the current cost of raw petroleum products. That may have leveled out for now but is expected to continue up in the future. Likely other materials have increased as well. Casita and others likely have seen margins squeezed and I would guess the reaction is forward looking as inflation is far from under control. Possibly a 10% increase would only take care of the present but the company will be selling at the new base for months to come. The 25% jump may be excessive appearing but predicted economic factors could make it seem reasonable.

Overall the Casita has been a good investment that is only getting better. I may even someday get my money back in numbers on my 1999 but likely the dollars will be depleted.

I believe Scamp has also crossed the $30K threshold for a similarly equipped 16’ standard with bath. Besides increasing material and labor costs, they have been steadily adding content. Latest announcement for 2023 includes a 12V/120V compressor fridge and tankless water heater.

This is going to happen with all the campers I am sure. Maybe not the mass produced units as they are slicing the prices on them to get them sold but the fiberglass industry is getting very expensive. The Snoozy II will soon be seeing an increase too as we cannot absorb anymore increases from our suppliers. We get sometimes 5-6 emails of increases from one supplier alone weekly that provides us with our fiberglass material's. I have heard of some of the manufactures not honoring the locked in price as well so please be careful. If you are not happy with pricing or something goes wrong with your scheduled pricing give me a call and I will for sure get you into a Snoozy II for what we agree on. Good luck and please let me know what I can do to help.

I believe that's for the deluxe wood interior version of a Scamp.

I had a Lance with a tankless water heater, every time I turned on the hot water, it would ignite, very noisy. Did not like that feature....

Price increase

With the options most people include it is still half the cost of the new Cortes Campers 17' Casita clone.

A bit of a thread revival. Casita has actually lowered the base price substantially and pulled out a bunch of standard items and made them optional. Still is cheaper even adding back in all of the options.

Also added a new premier option. Heading in the right direction.

Wow, thanks for the heads up. They were charging over $32k base price for a 2024 trailer. Definitely a move in the right direction with the lower base price and more choice of exterior hull color and interior wall material. I have to check it out in more detail. I used to have 2019 spirit deluxe.

Watching my email for the new price list and brochure. I am sure they have to get everyone with existing orders informed before new/potential customers, so I am "trying" to be patient! I guess I am glad they didn't send me the higher price list when I requested it 2 weeks ago.

RV market is taking a downturn for sure. Watch for rebates and discounts. Manufacturers are starting to have inventory in hand. Escape at one point had a two year backlog. Now they have several units in stock.

So while MSRPs are up, out the door pricing may drop.

For instance, Escape is offering free delivery. Depending where you live, this can be thousands of dollars in savings. It has started!

I agree and the glut of “covid campers” will start hitting the used market within the next year or two. Folks will get tired of having a rarely used three or four year old camper sitting in the driveway.

Talking New to Fiberglassrv-just brought home 2025 SD from Rice

Hi all, new here. We just brought home a new 2025 Spirit Deluxe ordered in Nov. 2024. Base was $26,995. We own a 2002 SD we will be selling (cost $12,000 then). With the options we got came to $30,064. They had a special so we got FREE awning($1499), Mach 8 Plus AC($499), and cost of propane setup($698) was subtracted from Propane Package(which would have been $1499). Options we got were High lift axle, 23 gal. water, SS deep sink w/cover and strainer basket, bath window?, power maxx fan, deep cycle AGM battery, rear receiver hitch, Roller shades, #1701 Love My Casita mattress. We opted NOT to get a bath sink but have shower. The cabinet style bath sink I think takes up too much space...no option for old type corner sink. I have purchased a faucet/shower fixture that will replace shower only fixture. I have found a corner sink that has optional removable cover to hide plumbing under sink. Then I will start the process of replacing (and adding) those plastic hooks with metal hooks along with other mods.
Also, while we were at the factory we asked for a tour but they said they were working on a new model that was "secret". Maybe next time, when we are at our friends near Texarcana.
Enjoy this site along with the Casita Club site. EVERYONE ENJOY!:

That sounds like a good deal. The RV market has changed since I started this post. Last time I checked on Scamp, they listed two dozen trailers in inventory, ready to buy!
