I would like to change the center stripes on my trailer, I know when I remove the old one it will leave a ring around the trailer. The top stripe is 4" wide and the bottom is 3" on Ebay there is lots of 3" but 4" is really hard to find does anybody know a source in Canada or US?

Rick, check with a local sign maker. It may cost a tad bit more but you won't be paying S&H. Worth checking out anyway.

I didn't like the pre-made multiple wide stripes I was finding at the local auto and boat hardware outlets,
so I "stacked" individual colors of my own choosing.

The stripes are individual rows of bootstripe tape from West Marine.
The stripes just below the windows are 2 rolls of model #409649, 1 roll of model #409623, and 1 roll of model #414187.
The stripes near the bottom are 1 roll of model #409607, and 1 roll of model #427643.

that really looks great! I would prefer a multi colored stripe pattern, from your picture it looks straight as an arrow how did you keep it going straight?

Why don't you take a look at decalzone.com and see some of their designs? You might like them and which proper preparation, they go great onto fiberglass.

Good luck,

Patty

My Fiber Stream had a "ghost" of the old stripe still visible; a band 3" wide where the gelcoat was shinier than the rest of the trailer. I started at the top edge of the "ghost" at the forward edge of the door, and followed the "ghost" edge counterclockwise around the trailer with the top red 1" tape. Once that was complete, the center white 1" tape just butted up to the top red, and the bottom red butted up to the white. Then I "eye-balled" the 1/4" red tape on the center of the 1" white tape.
