I'm curious... Was the map published by an official agency? What is the recommended course of action now that we have this information?

Total idiocy. Fallout from the Castle Bravo nuclear test (largest and dirtiest US nuclear weapons test ever, done on the Bikini Atoll in the Pacific) fell from 3000 RAD at 100 miles from ground zero to 100 RAD at 300 miles, a 97% drop. This is not to say that 100 RAD is good for you, but it does show that radiation levels fall steeply as you get further from their source.
So when some idiot puts out a map showing a radiation plume blowing off 3000 RADs extending half way across the Pacific then falling to just 750 RADs (a 25% reduction) by the time they've circled 1/3rd of the way around the planet, they're just outright lying, pulling data out of their backside. Throw in that the graphic comes from a survivalist website, and you have conspiracy-theory nutcases doing their best to scare people.

I bought this sticker as a joke and got a few laughs about it. But now I'm not sure I should leave it on. Or maybe I should try to find a "Sorry, We're Full" sticker?

I just received an email from Dr Joseph Young, managing director at ARS. He confirmed it is a hoax.
Regards,
Matt

Is that a radioactive sticker? If so one day you'll run into a hard a*s dot cop and that sticker may get you a ticket, well really a fine of about a grand that's what it can cost a truck driver for improper placards on his trailer, that includes leaving a placard on an empty trailer. I think you should lose the sticker.

Put up a shower tent outside the door with a sign: "Decontaminate in shower before entering shelter"

It's a fallout shelter sign (right), not a radioactive material placard (left)
Regards,
Matt

All eggs are fallout shelters for husbands. If the DW blows her stack, DH can sleep and weather the fallout in the trailer.

Look at the bright side (pun intended). When you glow in the dark it will reduce the need to drain your trailer battery for lighting.

And some people would rather have a Nuke in their back yard instead of a wind turbine, those people scare me.

Ha, a friend of mine went on a wind farm tour yesterday, as she's been approached by a wind company to host a turbine on her farm and they trundled interested landowners around to check out existing installations and have a chance to ask questions.
She was informed by skeptical neighbors, also on the tour, that the turbines microwave cattle from the inside out (which seems a plus to me, as I like my steak done evenly), cause chickens to stop laying eggs, cause mysterious horse deaths, and I think there might also have been something about the turbines selling cocaine and pornography to the children.

But what they didn't say was that if something goes wrong it wont incinerate everything within 100 miles, right?
