Re-painted fiberglass

Found a trailer that seller says was re-painted and "looks like new". It is a 2005. Said it was "
completely repainted by a RV shop that does upper end fiberglass rv's for the dealers here. It looks brand new.
Should I be concerned? How can I be assured without long road trip and be sure it'll hold up?
Any help?
Thanks, Chris

First question I would ask is why was a 2005 painted? Is it custom paint? If not I would worry that it has been in an accident. Gel coat should last many many many years worry free.

Smile trailer painthttps://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/images/icons/icon7.gif

I own a 2005 13 foot Scamp that was oxidizing badly, so I had the top half pained by a professional paint shop. So it does go to show that the gel coat may last, but, it does oxidize. I had to park my trailer in outside all the time. Now have a cover, thank heavens. Marg in NW California

i would get information about the paint for the future...different types of paint cant just be painted over paint...because eventually it will need to be touched up or redone,
