I will find it more rewarding when I have some assurance this is actually going to hold together. It's a bit like building the ribs after doing the shell of the boat. Quite weird. It's a wonder it hadn't developed stress cracks since the furnace cupboard was the only structural upright the PO had not removed.

I'm sort of on a mission to take it on a trip in 2 weeks. Not done, of course, but usable, I hope.

posting photo links from blogger is currently not a great idea. For the last month there have been a lot of days when no photos are visible on their blog hosting site. It is much better to bring photos into this forum and add them to your post as an attachment.

Joan,
Great progress! I can only imagine that it's a great feel these days to not only be adding Functional members to your camper, but also sensing that it's getting Sturdier with each piece that gets bonded into place.
Nice.....
Gary

I am pretty excited tonight. I met my intermediate goal of completing the structural members. Then I got to play a little.

Congratulations Joan. It's looking really nice.

Where are you going with the trailer?

Lyle, buddy! Where in the world are you? Miss you. Marie and I are going hiking in the Red River Gorge, KY. She really can't backpack any more, so we are glamming (haha) in the trailer and day hiking.

Sounds great. I've never been there. I have hiked some on the Sheltowee Trace which is in the area.

I just got home from hiking the John Muir Trail in California - 5 weeks. In a couple of weeks a friend and I are heading to Vermont to finish up that section of the AT. I have about 97 miles to hike there yet.

I love retirement. I just spent last weekend at Algonac State Park camping with my trailer, just relaxing. Tell Marie hi for me.

Happy for you! We will be on some little pieces of the Sheltowee. I sure will say hi to Marie for you.

I'll send you an email soon to catch up more, rather than cluttering this thread with our personal trivia. The trailer really is looking so much improved.

Sounds good! I'll look forward to it. Thanks, for the comment about the trailer. I see it done in my head every time I go in it. That's probably good, because otherwise it's just butt ugly.

I'm back at it- two steps forward and one step back. This time, one giant step back.

Joan,
You're amazing. And thorough. I think you're going to have a great little camper, when all is said & done. (Is it every "all said & done"?)
Reading your post, I was reminded of that news item from some time ago, where Elizabeth Warren was stirring up things in Congress........"And Still She Persisted". If there's a T-shirt of that, you've surely earned it.
Gary

Gosh, thanks, Gary- So much to do. Only 2 weeks to do enough to get it rolling again. OK, it could roll now, but we prefer beds and a "kitchen" area!
