Report from Scamp factory

Fiberglass friends,
After the Scamp factory fire we sent a card to express our concern and encouragement.Yesterday Jim (sales) called to touch base.
He said they would be doing cleanup and new building as soon. That the current prices could be locked in,but they would be going up ~$300.00 later.If you order they don't mind a change of heart, as they will just sell it to someone else.They hope to start doing service and mods this Spring.
The 13 foot Scamp will be several (2-3) inches higher,with the new molds being used.The ball will change to 2 inch. Apparently the 16 and 19 footers will stay the same.

The height increase in the 13' model suggests that new mold (at least for the top part) might be a shorter (in length and not height) variation of the 16' version, instead of being copied from an old 13' unit. Just speculation...

Whatever the details, it is good to hear that they have everything on track to get back in business.

Brian, that could very well be. I know the overhead fiberglass cabinets for the 13 footer didn't fit the 16 footer...now would be the time to standardize
