Things change I’m sure . The tours were popular when we were there. Our plan was to get to the factory early and sign up for an afternoon tour. However tours for the whole day were already booked. The boys and adults were in uniform shirts and looked nice. The lady at the desk told us to hang tight. She called someone and presently a summer intern came into the room. He introduced himself, an Eagle Scout, son of a executive at the plant. So off we went and really got a good tour. After the body is mated to the chassis they start the car. One of the scouts got to do this. Then at the quality control area they put the car on a dyno and ran it up to about 80 mph. One of the scouts in the passenger seat. Then they drove it out to the parking lot. So we got a great experience and hit the gift shop on the way out. Onto the museum, another fine experience.
