Sad day for New Hampshire:

The Old Man of the Mountain is no more. I'm glad last fall me, Julie and Michael were able to go and get some really good video and photos of us all in front of him.

This is a sad day for all RV'ers, New Englanders and just all of us nature lovers in general.

Final Farewell

That is truly a sad story about the "Old Man in the Mountain." I was able to see him in 1984 when I spent the summer as a counselor in Maine. I really enjoyed seeing him, and all the wonderful sights along the Kancamagus Higway as my friend and I traveled on a motorcycle. Loved every minute of it. Still intend to go back someday to see other sights.

Hey, I think the old man is still there... he's just changed his facial expression!

Hi Nancy, I like how you put a great new spin on things. It looks like the old man just got a face lift... or a face drop???
