Of course a nice 2009 Casita for $2900 was too good to be true but I called anyway. No answer but I left a message. I am pretty sure I have seen one of the photos they posted in the ad previously somewhere else on the web. Maybe on Casita’s own website. Dadgum scammers should at least try and get their facts straight. The ad stated “awning” but none is shown in the pictures. Newbie, or just plain lazy/stupid, scammer I guess.
If you do a craigslist search you will usually find the same ad in several parts of the country. Many times they use an odd price, like $2904. I believe they use pictures from a previous legit ad or manufacturer's literature.
A fellow teardrop friend of mine went up to Idaho this weekend to get a ‘84 U-Haul that she spotted on Craigslist. She hadn’t seen the trailer in person, only pictures thru email. One thing though, she’s well aware of all the scams that are on craigslist.
