Scamp 13 Gooseneck Conversion

Saw this in the Scamp Travel Trailers Facebook group. Apparently the Ohio owner/builder is a fly fisherman- the ceiling inside the trailer has a rack for the rods. Truck and trailer for $8000.

We’ve seen a couple of other exoskeleton cargo systems on 13’ molded trailers, but never a gooseneck in my memory.

With 2@30# propane tanks and racks for extra gas and fresh water, clearly the owner(s) love their fishing!

Just thought it was interesting...

Here’s a link to the actual ad with more pictures if you’re curious. Shows a lot of craftsmanship, even if the approach is... err... unconventional.

I can see where that would be ideal for some folks!

unconventional to say the least! The boats are much better on the truck than the Scamp roof. I would find the frame for the 5th wheel set up annoying and not very practical. We all have different views and solutions to solve the same problems. I use a Ford Econoline van as tow vehicle for my T4500 and can keep my toys and other stuff locked out of sight.
