Scamp 19 trailer height

Does scamp alter the height of the trailer based on the truck you have?

If I have a taller or shorter truck I assume the trailer my be tilted forward or back in tow otherwise.

When I ordered the 19 they asked for the height of the bed and I am guessing this is why. Is that correct?

Yes. They offer an optional 3" lift for use with trucks having a higher bed rail height.

Also just curious... Why did they tell me I can't use a Honda Ridgeline?

Is that possibly a holdover from the ones that looked like this?

Anybody tow one with the 2nd generation ridge-line?

Standard fifth wheel hitch systems are designed to attach to the truck's main frame rails. The Ridgeline's unibody frame and in-bed cargo compartment are not compatible with conventional hitches.

Floyd reported one person fabricated their own custom hitch that cleared the compartment, attached solidly to frame members, and was towing a Scamp 19 with a G1 Ridgeline, but I couldn't begin to tell you how to do that. Such a set-up has not undergone any kind of rigorous engineering analysis or field testing as vehicle and hitch manufacturers routinely do for liability sake.
