ANNOUNCING NEW 30-FOOT MODEL
In a surprising move
Scamp Lightweight Travel Trailers has announced a new model designed to compete in the full-size market. Using the same
fiberglass construction methods found on its smaller models, the company has created a triple-axle, split-level model that will provide more than twice the living space as it's current top-of-the line trailer. "This has been in the works for several years," says company CEO Pullin Uerlegg. "There has always been that potential
Scamp owner who may have appreciated our styling, construction and
light weight, but who also needed something bigger."
The 30-footer comes standard with a king-size master bed, second-level sleeping loft with a queen-size bed, a full bath (including tub!), a 4-burner stove, full size
refrigerator,
microwave oven, a convection oven and air-conditioning. "We didn't see any reason to skimp on the standard amenities," Uerlegg said. A full catalog of options will be available for those wanting to upgrade. "In the planning stages we joked about offering a Jacuzzi," Uerlegg revealed, "And in the end decided, 'Why not?' The Jacuzzi model will be slightly reconfigured to place the master bed mid-ship so that the Jacuzzi sits right over the axles. We think we'll do well with that one."
Orders are now being taken with the first customers receiving their 30-footers on or about August 1.
