The seam tape in my 82 Scamp looks bad.I don't like it .Never did, never will.Has anybody tried using decorative wallpaper trim/edging?

I tried white duct tape, it doesn't stick.

If duct tape can't fix it,then where is this world headed?

Some have filled the seam area with color-matched caulk and used a damp paper towel to give it a similar texture to the elephant skin. Personally, I like this: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ams-26632.html

I'm the kind of person if you can't make a repair disappear... make it obvious!

Donna D. Yup I saw that post, that's where I thought about something colorful like wallpaper edging.Maybe a little something to gussy the place up a bit,so it doesn't look like the typical bachelor pad.

Al, you could always make the stencil to look like boots, spurs and barb wire... that wouldn't be sissy!
