Five in the trailer- sounds like one of our trips..

How about some pictures of the kids?

That's what makes the trip, in this Grandma's opinion!

With apologies to the O.P. for a momentary trip off-topic:

It's a long, mysterious story...full of twists, turns, meetings on dark street corners, dead bodies and what-all else I can't express in writing. ...

Short version:

It's the sole vestige of an idea I once proposed here that in the event of a stolen trailer, an e-mail alert might be sent to everybody belonging to the site, whose membership numbers in the thousands. Who really "sees" fiberglass trailers better than us, right? And even though 99% of the membership "list" isn't active here day-to-day, I thought nobody'd mind a "keep-your-eyes-peeled" message in their inbox.

The "avatar" is a sticker I designed for distribution to anyone that wanted one for their trailer. Sort of a warning to would-be thieves of an existing network of eyes.

Anyway, the idea went exactly nowhere, but I liked the sticker design so I kept it as my avatar....never did put one on my trailer, though.

Where did you stay? We stayed at Lake Powhatan which is just south of Asheville in the Pisgah National Forest for one night. We hope to go back and explore soon. Raz

I love the idea of everyone watching out for eachother in here. And with the stories of the recent stolen campers in Eastern Canada and California, I think you need to re-pitch the sticker and email Idea. Put me down as all for it and I would even be willing to pay for 2 stickers to put on my Boler and my sons Boler.

The campsite is called Campfire Lodgings..expensive(45.00) nite but so worth the money with 5 people. Beautiful view, full hookups including wireless and cable, heated clean bathroom with showers and close to town. We also had a large picnic table and fire pit with grill top.
