Screens to put over open car windows

I think someone on here gave the link to a site where someplace made screens that would go over an open car window at night to keep the bugs out. This would work great if having extra people sleeping in a van (well truthfully, I am thinking of my dogs). I could put them in back of the van (especially if they are wet or muddy) and the air would circulate and it would be nice and comfy in there for them when and if I did not want them in the camper. The mosquitoes would not get them. Wet/muddy dogs in the camper, no thanks.

When we camped with the van and a tent that hooked up to the van I fashioned screens for the car doors by just folding over fiberglass screen and stiching the sides like a pocket. This would slip over the top of the door and cover the window. Some of those rubber magnet strips that car signs are made of sealed the outside to the car.
This worked well for years, keeping out all the nasty bugs and letting in gobs of fresh air.

Screening can be gotten at any home depot, etc.

Pete's words describe what I have used for more than 20 years. If you use the fiberglass screen variety it can be wadded up and stuffed into a small space without damage. Still use it when the van does overflow duty. Pete took the words right out of my mouth.

Muddy or not, our dog sleeps happily in a Vari-Kennel in the back of the minivan. As for bugs, well, dogs and other animals have managed without screens for thousands of years, no prob.
