The ownership for my 13 footer described the model as 130 too.

My 1300's closet door sticker:

I may have missed it in the discussion- can you tell model year from the serial?

I think that's one of the things we hope to figure out once enough serial numbers are accumulated....right now I think it's assumed that folks' model year is as-reported.

Is there a question in your mind as to the model year of your trailer?

Francesca

I'd say it is between a 77 and 73. I might even further guess a 74, or 75. Also guessing, is it a front gaucho?
Pictures of your trailer would be appreciated, and might help determine the age. If I could ask, pictures of the fridge, inside, and out would rock. Asking too much to the extreme, pictures of your furnace, with and without the cover, and the name plates of your appliances would be nice too.

I have no clue as to the year. Some previous owner registered it as a homebuilt utility trailer, probably for the cheap tag.

By gaucho, do you mean just front sofa/bunk? That's what it has. No sink or potty. I'll take some more/detailed pics later. The furnace is missing, but the rest is still there I think.

As I said, the furnace is already gone. The fridge has been rattlecanned bulldog black. Other shots show the covered-up kitchenette.

The heir-conditioned plaque is the origin of my screen name. Dad's friend Cadle made the sign for him circa 1970. (I was three!)

Glenn, Yes, the gaucho is the front seat that turns into a bunk bed. I assume that you know that the red thing on your counter is not original. It looks heavy. There was once a stove on the right hand side of the counter, and a sink on the other side. You can see pictures of other Trilliums in the the Gallery section of this site. The holes in the front of your gaucho are also not original, but they are done correctly. You have the optional shelves above the dinette, but not above the gaucho. Is the Ensolite painted?
Good pictures of the interior. How does the exterior look?

In fact, the cooktop and sink are still under that atrocious red shelf, hopefully complete.

The Ensolite: there's no lining at all on upper half, just gray paint. Blue carpet has been glued down low. I'm wondering what to do with that.

There are a couple of exterior shots in a "hi, I am" intro thread, i don't want to muddy this specific discussion further. Where is best to start a thread about my particular project and its progress? In car forums we call it a build thread.

The updated list. I hope Randy B has his front gaucho 1300 SN wrong, because it messes up the serial number scheme. Also I suspect that his 1979 4500 may be a 1978.

Randy B:...45-1100483...'78: Front Gaucho
Randy B:...45-1100661...'78: Front Gaucho
Chris:.......45-1100711...'78: Front Gaucho
Francesca:45-1100758...'78: Front Gaucho
Scot M:....45-1100893...'78: Front Gaucho
David T:....45-1101043...'78: Front Gaucho
Randy B:...45-1100914...'79: Front Gaucho
Unknown:..45-1121172...'79: Front Dinette (assumed)
Roy:.........45-1111339...'79: Front Gaucho (almost dinette?)
Randy B:...45-1131567...'80: Front Full Bath
Noreen:....45-1121733...'81: Front Dinette

David T: ..13-609..........'73: Front Gaucho
Randy B:...13-1104633...'76: Front Gaucho
Randy B:...13-1105016...'76: Front Gaucho
David T: ..13-1105688...'77: Front 1/4 Bath

Only a camper would understand the "heir conditioned" in post 46 above - Loved it.

79 4500 front gaucho 45-1111339

Had to double check the #, the original warranty registration card was missing a digit. The trailer is still in storage, so I can't check it in person. These numbers look to throw Dave's system off.

Don't worry about "throwing the system off"- I don't think anyone's 100% sure exactly what (if anything) the numbers mean yet. Accumulating enough of them to show a clear pattern will hopefully clear that up...
There are some sorta wacky ones there already- look at Spanke's!

On that subject: Which "missing" digit did you reinsert in your number? (in case it turns out to be important).

Actually, since yours is a 79, I am assuming that your gaucho is an "almost dinette" which it seems they gave different numbers to.
I have added your number to the list above.

I must have missed something- what's different about an "almost dinette" gaucho, David? Is the bench split or something?

Thanks!

Francesca

It is indeed. From 1979 on the gaucho fibreglass was replaced with the front dinette fibreglass. Manufacturing efficiency made this a good idea.
There seems to have been some inconstancy and the old fibreglass was used as well. They probably had the parts already made.

I guess ours fits in the list between '73 and '76?

Is there any other way for me to nail down the year she was laid?

I guess, just keep checking. In time the list will be more complete, and you will be able to bracket your serial number between two other trailers of the same year. Early 1300's are poorly represented so far.

Is Glenn's trailer on the list yet?

If not, should we add it in simple numerical order, with the "reported year" left blank?
