Vintage Trailers have different EXPORT requirements.

When I called Scamp they seemed to know what I needed what the wording etc needed to be on the letter so I had no problems.

Hello- We exported a 1977 trailer from Canada to the USA and it did not need any sticker stating it complied with US safety standards because it fell under the vintage trailer rules for USA purposes. It just needed the serial number affixed to the trailer along with manufacture date, where made, etc., all of which was to match the Canadian Insurance paperwork used to denote a bill of sale. This information was needed by the DMV in our state in order for us to license it. Border patrol was just interested in it not being stolen and wanted the bill of sale and serial number to match, a bit of sale and whatever else they require which is easy enough to get by calling the agents at whatever border you will use. We've done this twice- no problem so long as we met both Border and DMV requirements.

Trillium 1300 - 13-2201329
Hi David,
the serial number on my Trillium 1300 is 13-2201329.
The bill of sale I got with it said 1971, I am wondering if that year is correct?
I will try to attach a few pics of 'Myrtle', she is a splendid little camper, and that little furnace works even in the frigid Yukon winter.

I cannot seem to upload images - keep getting an error message saying I don't have permissions (and then it says I need to re-login).

In the most recent 1300 serial number list:
https://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/...tml#post680419
Your serial number is bracketed by trailers that have manufacturing stickers that are 1973 vintage, so your trailer is very likely a 1973 as well.
I love those gravity furnaces. I think that is the thing that first caught my eye regarding Trilliums.

Trillium 1300 1981?
Hi there,
I just read the whole thread! So interesting to see all the Trills.
I figured I'd officially add mine to the list. I wish I had done so before starting to work on it, so sorry for the mess.
SN: 13-1116903 made in Markham.
Came with bunks in front and a piece of board/plywood to fill the space in the gaucho. Has aluminum shelves at the back.

That is the newest 1300 on the list. Thank you very much!

Trillium 4500-front bathroom
I have a former front bathroom trillium 4500, currently going through a long process to get registration/title but may not have much luck as there is no paper trail for it. 45-1100789- hopefully it will get on the registry and the DMV will see that as proof.

That is an interesting idea. However, I doubt that my observations and speculations will carry much weight with the DMV.
Here in Alberta, that wouldn't be a problem. I bought a trailer with terrible hand written bill of sale. It was totally illegible. I had a friend fill out a bill of sale form, (downloadable) for the amount that I bought it for, which was $100 Cdn. It actually cost me $250, if you include the gas to go get it:
https://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/...now-61473.html
My friend signed the bill of sale, and Alberta Registries accepted that as enough. The point is, that in Alberta, they will register anything with any serial number. Though I assume that you have to possess an Alberta drivers license.

Laura, Tom is correct. The serial number that you provided is one after a 4500 on the list:
https://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/...rld-61495.html
45-1100788 is clearly a 1978. Can you open the window in your door?
What would really be nice is if you posted a picture of the data sheet in your closet. I'm compiling the information on that sheet into a spreadsheet.

1977? Maybe?
Just bought this girl over the weekend. She’s titled as a 77 but there appears to have been a little bit of a debate over that in the past. Anyone able to give me a better guess with her serial number?
Edit: wow that loaded messy as a picture. Her serial number is 45-1101266

Attached is my closet paper-it’s titled, tagged and plated now and has been to Florida and back-long process here in Texas-they changed some rules but it’s done!

Hello. New Trillium owner/page member here. I keep trying to upload pictures but I am camping with poor service. I will keep trying.
My camper serial number is
13-1103721.
It came with a 1974 tire cover but I suspect it may actually be a 1975 from the information here.
I will come back later and upload pictures.
It did have a front bathroom but that has long been removed.
The kitchenette has been chopped up, but a counter remains and I installed an AC under the counter.
No built in water service, heating, cooking or plug in lighting.
Long been a guest of this site. Great source of info.
David
