shopping for scamp 5th wheel

HI everyone, My Dad is shopping Scamp 5ers and needs to see a Deluxe up close and personal. He is considering taking a trip to Backus, MN, to see on at the plant, but that is about 600mi from his home. I thought there may be a proud owner closer to us that might be willing to show him the interior of their RV. My husband and I own a '84 basic, and it just doesn't compare to the newer Deluxe models. We're in the Chicagoland, IL area, anybody out there closer to us than 600mi? Thanks, Laura

Hi Alf: Thanks for the info, I had never heard of these before! Now we have 2 brands to track down to see the interior, how cool. I contacted Escape and am waiting for a call back, maybe they can help us find an owner around here. How far are you from the Chicagoland area? I have a feeling not close, Google Maps here I come... Laura, depending on your location in Illinois I may have the closest Escape to you. There are three of them in Wisconsin. Unfortunately none are the 5th wheel. Here in Janesville I have a 19 and Gerda in Madison has a 17. Eric with his 17 is across the state - North of LaCrosse.

The Escape 19 and Escape 5 have a great deal in common, both in size, components and quality. The shape is the major difference.
