Been much discussion lately about Escape trailers so thought I'd post our recent shot in a wonderful Washington State Park, Fort Flagler. If you love big trees, long beaches, lots of trails, options for sites in the trees or along the beach (which is a bit more crowded) I recommend this park. It's our favorite, but being in our own "backyard" we never spent the night there until this week. Our Turtle loved being there!

Hint, Hint: Be a nice home page shot don't cha think? Not sure an Escape has made it to the home page.

I was wiped out, in the 2008 N.California wildfires ... being a retired, longhaul truckdriver, hitting the road fulltime, seemed the natural thing to do ... after all, my "what am I going to do with all this stuff ?", problem was now solved ... I bought a new Ford cargo van, and a new Casita 17' Freedom Deluxe, and went camping ... almost a year later, I wish I'd done it sooner ...

Our first night in our new 2009 EggCamper. We stayed in Van Buren State Park in Michigan, about an hour from Grandville, where we bought the camper. We traveled 1009 miles from Pensacola, Florida to buy the EggCamper. I'm 6'4" and needed a unit with enough headroom.

Here's a pic from our second ever Casita campsite. We're down at the Pax River Naval Air Station's campsite in Southern Maryland.
