a long tongue makes all the difference
After building quite a few trailers I always use a longer than standard tongue. Ever see a big stone truck pulling a trailer with an extra long tongue?
Both the
Burro and the MC trailer are 3' longer than stock. Measuring tongue
weight is also important. While testing the tandem setup I slowly increased the speeds to check for stability. Eventually going well above the speed limit briefly with a friend following and no sign of a wobble. The combined
weight of the MC and it's trailer is about #600.
To often I've seen short tongue trailers or trailers with improper
weight distribution, wiggling down the road.
