Trailer: 13 ft Trillium

Brand new to me... 1979 19' Biggar, made in Biggar Saskatchewan. Isn't it crazy lookin? Sorta ugly and beautiful all at the same time.

This li'l baby could float if dropped in a lake (not the human baby in the pic... she's still got some swimmin' lessons to finish) if it weren't for the outlets & vents. Looking forward to many creative and frustrating days ahead of renovating and updating!

Trailer: 1975 Trillium 13 ft

Post

I just bought this 13 foot Trillium in mint condition from a guy who was only the second owner of it. Two years ago he came across a 1975 13'trillium that had not moved in 26 years. It had only been insured 3 times and apparently used only about 1 or so trips per year. All the camping equipment (pots, pans, cutlery etc. had not even been taken out of the wrappers. The original tires still had the nibs on them, although they had become rotten with age. It had been sitting in a back yard for so long that the wheels were partially sunk into the ground and the Trailer was covered with moss. Apparently it looked worthless to anybody who doesn’t know about these trailers. He managed to get it for next to nothing. He added brand new rims/ tires, propane tank, regulator, gas lines, removed the body from frame, sandblasted/epoxy coated and top coated the frame (with high gloss acrylic urethane paint), completely polished the original gelcoat to high shine as well as most of the aluminium trim. He replaced the original curtains but the original cushions and foam are in perfect condition with the exception of one frayed corner on the rear cushion. I believe this trailer has got to be one of the most original and best condition trilliums around. This unit also came with all the original manuals etc. He sold it because he has a family with two kids and he wanted something bigger. Here are a few pictures.

We just got a 1986 Bigfoot 17 (after looking for about a year or so!) and the house is being seriously neglected while I get her ready for camping! Here is a "before" picture of her exterior (I plan to shine her up) and sort of an "after" picture of the interior, since it was so clean I just had to give it a quick wash and bring in my own curtains and pillows.

I took these at the Canadian side of the falls and on top of Hogback Mt. in Vermont, on our way back from Michigan to New Hampshire.

You'll know us when you approach...the girls made sure of that!

The 8-year-old picked our "bumper sticker": Not all who wander are lost. Perfect for this trip (even if we lose the maps).

Here's our rig on the first day of our 2 week trip from Vancouver Island to Drumheller and back. It shows more TV then trailer but the lighting that morning in Emory Creek park was beautiful and it's my fav of the 100 or so rig pics I took.

Lots of people go out west on vacation with their trailers. We went east this year with out UHaul to visit places where my Rev War and Civil War ancestors were, as well as Williamsburg and Jamestown. Here we are at Manassas National Battlefield, at the Stone House.

OK, so this is not a beautiful spot but a WalMart parking lot in Anderson, California. Patience, our 1986 17' Bigfoot is, however, beautiful. Ann and I have been living in her since the day we bought her 6 weeks ago. She needs a couple little things but basically everything works. I'll try to post more photos soon, including the previous owner's ingenious solution to the 'narrow bed' dilemma.

Early in our Black Hills/Nebraska Star Party trip... we stopped by Chimney Rock in western Nebraska. It's on our state quarter you know.
