Hi Bobbie - perfect timing - I just saw a Ridgeline today and wondered how much (how well) it tows. What is your experience? Is Ridgeline a V-6 engine?

Thanks!

V6. 5000 lbs with the AWD. My trailer weighed about 2200 and it towed fine. I didn't go far, though, and no freeway driving. But plenty of oomph on the hills and very stable.

I was towing with my Subaru Forester- which did fine, but I felt every bump. The ride is nicer with the Ridgeline. I miss the manual transmission, though the automatic works fine. I'm not yet at the point of being 100% comfortable with it but I think it will be more comfortable overall.

Time for a photo update on my 1971 Trails West Campster. Still a work in progress on the interior but the exterior is looking pretty fine with its brand new, custom made frame along with the new axle, wheels and tires under it. The outside will have a couple of more changes to come when the solar panel goes on top and I get to fabricating the custom generator box for the tongue.

Talking E-21 interior is done!!

Hope these open..our "on order" Escape-21 is nearing completion! I guess we bought a bit too much material for the cushions. This is the new maple interior and the wood never matches until it ages about a year, but we liked it over the std oak. The sink is a custom we bought bks 'momma' wanted a bigger kitchen sink, and
"if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.."

After a couple of years in the group, I have never posted to this thread. So here it is, the new Scamps’ second night out and first ever boondocking site, on the way home from the factory. (It is a page from my first ever “SCAMPING AMERICA” calendar.)
