This morning (9/23/12) we sat side by side next to a Scamp on I-5 southbound for about 3 miles before Exit 282A (Wilsonville Canby OR area). I saw it I think come up the freeway onramp and said to my husband "quick catch up with that little white trailer, I want to see it close up". And miracle, for once he did what I said! It was a beauty, looked recent vintage. Can't tell you what the tug was...

Saturday September 22 I spotted something set up for the night in the Waterville Maine WalMart parking lot. Turned out to be a 1974 Ventura and a lovely couple from British Columbia who were traveling to Pennsylvania

Last night there was a Bigfoot (bigger than a 13?) at Beverly Beach State Park. No TV there when we walked by. Then today I passed a Casita pushing a yellow TV, looked like an XTerra, maybe, somewhere north on 101.

Hi Jaye...that was us! We're out of Philly now and just pulled into Elkhart, Indiana where we're going to visit the RV Hall of Fame Museum in the morning. After that we're working out way west to see Carhenge Mount Rushmore, and Yellowstone at least.
For in-between and off-beat attractions I'm talking inspiration from Roadside America. We're trying to stick to US 30, the Lincoln Highway, the oldest coast-to-coast highway - which will have its centennial in 2013.

Happened onto "Raz," "Maggie R." and Molly at Lum's Pond St. Park in northern DE yesterday 1 Oct. They were enroute from Vermont to the Outer Banks; we were "backyard camping" 17 mile from home. Out walking the dogs, happened on Trill 13; I saw the orange stripe and the three lobe Trillium on the door. They had already seen our donkey and asked if we were also "small, glass, molded" folks (sounds like Hobbits I know but what you gonna do?) Raz and I got to talking about trailers and the ladies began "yarning" about knitting. (Hope we didn't spoil your date with the Bosox on radio, Raz!) They were gone when we dragged up this morning at 10:30 so they beat the rain out of town. Big wildlife act at the campground "confusing fall Warblers" and annoying stink bugs.

Nice visit. Pleasure meeting you folks. Swung by about 7:00 . No signs of life but we waved anyway. Landed on the OBX before 4:00, at the campground by 5:00. Lots of sites at Frisco should anyone wish to take an unplanned trip. Most likely head south to Ocracoke Thursday. Raz

Busy day Thursday morning Oct 4th. Heading NW out of Atlanta GA I saw a Scamp 19 about to hit rush hour traffic on I-75 S. A few minutes later we were passed by a Casita headed N on I-75 out of Atlanta. About 2 hours later saw another Casita headed toward Chattanooga on I-24 East.
Coming back from KY Sunday afternoon Oct 7th we saw a Casita headed W on I-24 in TN with kayaks on the tow vehicle.

Sightings
Glad to see glass trailers using highway 299 in northern California. For a while, a few years ago, there were folks in this group that thought 299 was an old, scary road. No so any more. It is always good to see glass rvs on the road wherever. Saw several on my last trip into Nevada via highways 44, 36 & 395 before heading east on I-80. Very hot, but everything went find. I really like that campground at the old fort south of Fernley, NV. Happy trails.

Surrounded!
Woke up in our UHaul in the Happy Holiday campground in the Smokey Mountains of NC surrounded by lots of fiberglass eggs. Mostly Casitas, a few Scamps and our lone UHaul. The Rally begins today...wish you were all here.
